Inner Coast Collaborative

The Inner Coast Collaborative is a regional partnership focused on improving forest health and fire resilience that spans 5,500 square miles across Colusa, Lake, Napa, Solano, Sonoma, and Yolo Counties (i.e., the Inner Coast region). Through regional coordination and cooperation, the Collaborative is striving to create healthier forests, ecosystems, and communities.

General Info

The Inner Coast Collaborative (ICC) focuses on regional planning and coordination, project planning, provision of technical assistance, and building and sustaining capacity. To guide this work,  the Collaborative is creating a Regional Priority Plan (RPP).

Developing a Regional Priority Plan

The Regional Priority Plan will:
• Develop a shared vision for the region, grounded in current conditions and local knowledge
• Include a list of priority projects based on partner and community input
• Identify resources needed to implement projects

Objectives

Building a Pipeline of Shovel-Ready Projects

  • Project planning, environmental review, and permitting
  • Development of technical assistance (TA) models and provision of TA
  • Support collaboratives or groups to identify project priorities and act on them.

Building and Sustaining Capacity

  • Identifying and supporting capacity building needs (internal organizational, local, regional)
  • Prescribed Burn Association (PBA) and Fire Safe Council (FSC) development and support
  • Supporting administration of regional cost-share programs
    Community outreach, education and demonstration projects
  • Fund development

Regional Coordination and Planning 

  • Regional and statewide coordination
  • Regional outreach and engagement strategy development
  • Regional Priority Plan (RPP) development
