Inner Coast Collaborative
The Inner Coast Collaborative is a regional partnership focused on improving forest health and fire resilience that spans 5,500 square miles across Colusa, Lake, Napa, Solano, Sonoma, and Yolo Counties (i.e., the Inner Coast region).
General Info
Funded by a Regional Forest and Fire Capacity Program block grant, the Inner Coast Collaborative focuses on regional planning and coordination, project planning and provision of technical assistance, and building and sustaining capacity. Activities supported by this endeavor will range in scale from a single community, an entire county, or the whole region.
Napa RCD has been awarded a Regional Forest and Fire Capacity Block grant to support regional planning and collaboration, project planning, and capacity building to improve forest health, fire resilience, and community wildfire preparedness across Colusa, Lake, Napa, Solano, Sonoma, and Yolo Counties (i.e., the Inner Coast region).

This endeavor is a collaborative effort between Lead Partners in each county, and is coordinated and administered by Napa RCD.

Objectives
Building a Pipeline of Shovel-Ready Projects
- Project planning, environmental review, and permitting
- Development of technical assistance (TA) models and provision of TA
- Support collaboratives or groups to identify project priorities and act on them.
Building and Sustaining Capacity
- Identifying and supporting capacity building needs (internal organizational, local, regional)
- Prescribed Burn Association (PBA) and Fire Safe Council (FSC) development and support
- Supporting administration of regional cost-share programs
Community outreach, education and demonstration projects - Fund development
Regional Coordination and Planning
- Regional and statewide coordination
- Regional outreach and engagement strategy development
- Regional Priority Plan (RPP) development
