Napa Prescribed Burn Association (PBA)

.

The Napa Prescribed Burn Association (PBA) is a county-wide volunteer-based mutual aid group made up of community members, landowners, property managers, and local agency partners. Napa PBA is dedicated to responsibly using prescribed fire as a tool to reduce the risk of catastrophic fire and to restore forest health. The group provides the necessary education, training, and resources to conduct safe and effective prescribed burns in Napa County. Napa PBA is guided by a volunteer-based steering committee.

To get involved and stay updated, sign up for the Napa PBA email list here. For more information on the PBA, or if you are interested in prescribed fire on your property, visit the Napa PBA webpage below or contact Danielle@NapaRCD.org.

Investing in the PBA means investing in a community-led approach to resilience, one that is already delivering results and ready to grow.

The Napa Prescribed Burn Association is growing the community’s capacity to use prescribed fire as a tool for healthier forests and safer landscapes. Launched and coordinated by Napa RCD in partnership with UC Cooperative Extension, the PBA trains landowners and communities to safely plan and carry out prescribed burns that improve forest health, protect watersheds, and reduce wildfire risk.
