General Info
The Napa River Stewardship Network brings people together to care for local water and land. Through open conversations, shared learning, and local leadership, the group works to support healthy waterways and responsible water use across Napa County. Efforts focus on building partnerships, setting priorities, and creating a shared plan for future restoration and management.
One important part of this work is forming smaller, local “sub-watershed” groups based on where people reside. These groups connect neighbors and land stewards making it easier to work together on local environmental challenges. The sub-watershed groups will provide a space to share knowledge, learn about science-based solutions, and find ways to improve water quality, protect habitats, and strengthen the landscape. By focusing on smaller areas, communities can better address the specific needs of their own environment.
With support from the Bureau of Reclamation funding, the goal is that the Network’s ideas will turn into real, on-the-ground improvements that support a healthier watershed.
What the Network learns and prioritizes through this work will help shape a future Napa River Watershed Restoration and Management Plan. This plan will guide ongoing restoration efforts and support long-term, community-led care for the watershed.
