LEARN ABOUT STREAM WATCH
What is Stream Watch?
Stream Watch is a community science program led by Napa RCD and Napa County Watershed Information and Conservation Council. Volunteers help track whether selected creek sites are dry, pooling, or flowing, and note any trash present. These long-term observations help us understand how local creeks are changing and how to better care for them as our climate shifts.
Two Ways to Participate
Explore Your Watershed
Perfect for those who want to contribute but can’t commit weekly.
Visit any Stream Watch site, any time of year, and submit an observation.
Curious where Garnett Creek is? Make it a weekend adventure!
Adopt a Stream
Choose one site and make regular observations during the rainy season.
We’ll notify you when to start and stop so we capture when streams begin and end flowing.
Browse the map below to pick the site(s) that work best for you. Don’t see a site near you? Contact Ashley- we might have site ready to go that hasn’t been added yet.
