We hope to see you there!
What is the Climate-Friendly Garden Tour? It is a self-lead exploration of 11 public and private gardens in Napa & Yountville. Each vibrant and colorful garden has one or more features that are climate-friendly.
The Tour also includes 5 mini-workshops and a compost + mulch giveaway, so bring your own bucket to fill!
Las Flores Community Center, our home base, will host the compost and mulch giveaway. Workshops at Las Flores include: Seed Saving with the Napa County Seed Library, Sheet Mulching with UC Master Gardeners, Irrigation Conversion with City of Napa Water, and Integrated Pest Management with Suzanne Bontempo, Our Water Our World.
Additionally, a Fire-wise Landscaping workshop, with Napa Communities Fire-wise Foundation, will be held at one of the other garden locations.
• $5 for Adults/Free for Kids
• Mini-workshops will be held at select sites throughout the day.
• Mulch & compost giveaway at Las Flores Community Center!
How it works:
1- Tickets are $5 per adult, and free for children. You can purchase tickets online in advance OR the day of the tour at Las Flores Community Center.
2- If you purchase tickets BEFORE May 8, you will receive your Garden Tour brochure, with map and garden descriptions, in the mail. If you purchase tickets ON or AFTER May 8, you can pick up your Garden Tour brochure at Las Flores Community Center starting at 10am on Saturday, May 13.
3- On May 13, you can visit any of the gardens, in any order, at any time! It’s a choose-your-own-adventure kind of day, and all gardens will be open to ticket holders from 10am-4pm. You will be able to tour the gardens, talk with the owners of the gardens, and see some great examples of climate-friendly and water-wise gardens!
