MLK Day of Service 2025
Get Ready for the 2025 MLK Day of Service!
Join us, the City of Napa and Napa RCD, as we unite for a day of action and impact! This year, we’re taking on French broom, an invasive plant, at Westwood Hills Park. Together, we’ll restore this beautiful space and create a healthier environment for all to enjoy.
What to Expect:
- Learn to identify and remove French broom like a pro.
- Work in teams to make a visible difference by the end of the day.
- Experience the immediate satisfaction of seeing your hard work pay off!
No experience? No problem! Our Napa RCD Teen Conservation Interns will provide all the tools and guidance you’ll need.
What to Bring:
- Work gloves (if you have them, we’ve got some to share).
- Sturdy shoes and gardening-appropriate clothing.
- A water bottle and snack to stay energized.
- Long sleeves and pants are highly recommended due to poison oak in the area.
Where to Meet: Gather at the kiosk in Westwood Hills Park. Parking is limited, so plan ahead—you may need to park on the street.
This is a fantastic opportunity for youth, families, and community members to come together, give back, and honor the spirit of MLK Day. Let’s make it a day to remember!
Mark your calendar, spread the word, and we’ll see you there!
