Come on out and help us track the health and survival of the oaks planted by Napa RCD, community members, and local students at an earlier planting event!
Participants will build on skills related to identifying different kinds of oaks that are most commonly found in the Napa Valley, assessing tree health, and identifying priority areas for mulching. Participants will be weeding and mulching around newly-planted oak trees and fixing protective cages.
If you are interested in joining, but don’t feel comfortable on uneven terrain, let us know! We have opportunities available for all levels of comfort and are happy to make sure you’re able to join in the effort of caring for our local trees!
