A Bike Tour of Napa’s Water Story
Saturday, April 26th
9-11:30am
Join us for a 7-mile bike ride along the Napa River to learn about some of the infrastructure and ecology around Napa. The eight stops along the tour will highlight water and wastewater infrastructure, wildlife, restoration projects, stormwater protection, flood control, and more! All ages and ability levels are welcome!
Please arrive a few minutes early in order to be ready to ride at 9:00am.
The route
The tour will be roughly 7 miles beginning at the boat launch area at Kennedy Park and heading north on the Vine Trail towards downtown Napa before turning around at the Oxbow Commons and heading back to Kennedy Park. There will be one street crossing at the intersection of Third Street and Soscol Avenue. The route is primarily flat terrain and includes 8 stops where staff from NapaSan, Napa RCD, City of Napa, and Napa County will talk briefly with participants about different aspects of watershed protection.
What do participants need?
Tour attendees are responsible for providing their own working bicycle and helmet. Participants without a helmet will not be allowed to participate in the tour. Any tour participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Sunscreen and water are recommended.
