2024 Climate-Friendly Garden Tour

May 18, 2024 – 10am-4pm

Online ticket sales have ended, but you can purchase tickets starting at 10am on Saturday at Las Flores Community Center (4300 Linda Vista Ave). Cash only, thank you!

Tour 11 private and public gardens in the Napa Valley! Gardens will showcase beautiful and vibrant landscapes that are climate-friendly and water-wise.

  • Mini-workshops will be held at select sites throughout the day.

  • Compost giveaway at Las Flores Community Center!

  • $5 for Adults/Free for Kids

Workshop Schedule:

  • 10:30am at Las Flores: Heat Island Effect Demonstration, Bury Your Undies! (Soil Microbial Demonstration) with UC Master Gardeners

  • 11:30am at Las Flores: Bread and Flour Tilling Demo, Good Bugs/Bad Bugs with UC Master Gardeners

  • 11:30am at Garden #4: Bread and Flour Tilling Demo with UC Master Gardeners

  • 1pm at Garden #6: Drip Irrigation Conversion Workshop with Josh Stokes, City of Napa Water

  • 2:30pm at Garden #4: Soil Organic Matter and Absorption Demo with UC Master Gardeners

How it works:
The ticket you purchase (at the green button above or below) is in a brochure format. This brochure has a map of the garden locations, as well as descriptions of the gardens and different features each has to offer.

If you purchased your tickets through the button above AFTER May 8, you can pick tickets up starting at 10am on Saturday, May 18 at Las Flores Community Center.

Day-of tickets will be available to purchase starting at 10am on Saturday, May 18 at Las Flores Community Center (4300 Linda Vista Ave). Saturday ticket sales are cash only, thank you.

On May 18, you can visit any of the gardens, in any order, at any time! It’s a choose-your-own-adventure kind of day, and all of the gardens will be open to ticket holders from 10am-4pm. You will be able to tour the gardens, talk with the owners of the gardens, and see some great examples of climate-friendly and water-wise gardens!

What does Climate-Friendly Gardening really mean? To us, it is a philosophy of gardening (both home and commercial) that showcases beautiful, climate-smart, and water-wise features. This could include an number of things included in the list below, and many more!

•drought-tolerant and native plants
•compost and soil health practices
•rain gardens, rain barrels, and/or other rain catchment systems
•recycled material use
•a smart irrigation system
•veggie gardens
•greywater use

The 2024 Climate-Smart Garden Tour is offered in partnership between the City of Napa Water Division, Napa RCD, and UC Master Gardeners.
