First Saturday Volunteer Day- Tree Planting with City of Napa

October First Saturday Project:  Tree Planting with City of Napa Parks and Rec!

Grab your gloves and green thumbs and join us, along with City of Napa Parks and Rec, for a special Arbor Day celebration at Kennedy Park!  We’ll be planting trees together, building a stronger, greener Napa, and having some fun while we’re at it!

Whether you’re an expert tree planter or just looking for a great way to give back, we need your help! We’ll be moving and prepping small trees, filling in soil to keep them sturdy, and adding mulch to protect our new leafy friends. Plus, you’ll get the scoop from the City of Napa Parks staff about their recent tree survey and exciting updates from the Urban Forestry Master Plan!

What to Expect:

• Hands-on tree planting activities
• An update on the City’s Urban Forestry Management Plan
• A friendly, feel-good way to connect with your community
• All ages welcome—no experience necessary!

Meet: at the Mulberry Picnic Site in Kennedy Park. Kennedy Park is located at 2295 Streblow Dr. Follow the road until you reach a wide turn going to the left (south). Then take the second driveway on your right side. Look for the signs. Google Maps Pin to the picnic area.

Wear: sturdy and closed-toe shoes, clothing appropriate for the weather, and sun protection.

Bring: a filled water bottle, gardening gloves if you have them.

This is the second month of our First Saturday Volunteer Events, and we’re thrilled to be growing this tradition with you! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a day of community fun and a chance to make a lasting impact on Napa’s green spaces.
